Tuesday afternoon a Black Hawk Helicopter crashed on Mount Massive just below the summit. All four crewman (special forces) were sadly killed in the crash. As a result of the tight control by the military of the crash sight, the course is being rerouted approximately 25 miles into the race. The race officials were unable to give the exact reroute details at the briefing but they will have the route prepared before the starting gun in the morning.
